Mission: Cambodia

This mission took place in 2012 and took a group of surgeons from all over UK and USA to Phenom Pehn where for 10 days we operated on large number of patients that funding was not available for. Through the generosity
of chairtiy donors and medical supply companies we were able to resource the procedures for a range of compelx hernia repairs . IN developing countires helathcare budgets are directed mainly to emergency worlk and elective procedures are a low priorty . Hernias develop and increase in size to such a degree that children are no longer able to school and parents unable to work.

CHELSA CHILDRENS HOSPITAL TRUST FUND

The chelsea children’s Hospital trust fund raises money to care for children and their families at Chelsea Children's Hospital in London.  We buy urgently-needed medical and surgical equipment and provide new services which wouldn't otherwise be available.  A recent purchase of a Da vinci surgical robotic at £1.2 million was an incredible achievement and new projects are already underway incuding a swallow station to help diagnose more acurately children with swallowing disorders. Mr Clarke is a Trustee of the CHarity  “ the CHTF is an extraordinary charity that aims high and delivers. After having rebuilt the neonatal department and more recently helped launch the Robotic programme the charity goes from stregnth to strength. This is mostly due to the incredible generoisty of parents and local residents as well as the hard working team that supports the day to day running I am very proud to be invovled.
